Odd Chick lays some eggs.
Do I wake up in a different world everyday or what? Blame this on Egon Schiele - or my daughter, I blame all my weird stuff on her. She encourages it.
This is a mixed-media piece done on gallery canvas with watercolor wax pastel crayons and gesso.
Sweet Farmer didn't like some beautiful little pears I painted in the same composition (he said he had never seen a purplish pear), so I think this was my revenge piece. Boy, was it sweet!

Never seen a purplish pear?!? He needs to come market in my neighborhood. I hope your revenge was as sweet as purplish pear juice can be :)
This pieces is wildly emotive and I love the multiple colors and layers I can see coming through - texture, gesture, expression - it's got it all!! Fantastic.
I love the colors and the textures ... the faces look like moods (or moodswings)....
I can see the pears ;)
Poor farmer is probably scratching his head thinking about Venus and Mars and wondering "what's it all about alfy?"
This is amazing. Lots of very interesting texture and energy. Thanks for your comment on my latest blog entry - my teapot.
Revenge never looked so gorgeous :)
I love your use of layers in this piece gives a great feeling of depth and power to the faces.
