After staying the night in Tulsa, we got up early and headed for Missouri with our final north destination being Bowen, Illinois.
I apologize for my photography as all my pictures are taken from inside the pick-up, because my farmer only stops when the Dodge runs out of diesel - girls like us married to guys like them have trained our bathroom habits to match the gas mileage on the vehicle - amazing really.
Did you know there are towns in Missouri named "Mexico" and "Santa Fe"? Now that will mess with a New Mexican's head.
We ended up in the town of Bowen, Illinois with our tractor tires to trade and to pick up our used tractor tires.
Blogger says no more pictures tonight so I'll tell you about Bowen tomorrow.

Welcome to the Prairie State.
As a Missouri boy it's nice you saw my state.
what fun you are having! I bet where you live is much prettier than where you are visiting right now...although those who live there, love it, so I suppose it's about what you are used to....
happy trails to you and sweet farmer.....
xoxox
My husband drives the same way - from point A to point C- there is now stopping at point B!!! He's gotten better as we've gotten older and both need those potty stops!! LOL Have fun!!!
I like your passenger seat picture views! It's like we get to hitch a ride right along side you, for a bit of your journey :) It is a looong drive. We've done the cross country thing a few times including Cleveland OH to Yuma AZ; Tucson, to NY with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a cooler full of tropical fish... quite the adventure!! I'm enjoying your trip way more!
