Passions of an Odd Chick

Sad day

We lost our dear friend today.

She was a most faithful friend that walked a thousand miles with me.

That sat with me whenever I was sick, never leaving to eat or drink herself.
That watched me even after she became blind.

That guarded me against anything that looked menacing, small or large - she could be ferocious.

That kissed me only upon request.

That guarded little chicks, or kittens or babies like her life depended on it.

Everyone who knew Annie wanted a dog like her.

Very few people have the privilege of having a dog like Annie - so I count it as a great blessing that I was the one that she devoted her sweet life to.

Good-bye for now dear little friend.

I'm so sorry, Peggy. They live such a short time, but they give us their all while they're here.

She was a beautiful dog.

The last dog I had named Sonny died in my arms. I know the heartbreak of losing a canine friend. God bless you and your lost friend.

thank you everyone for your sweet words...i dreaded the day without her but it was nice to know others care and have loved their own dogs so much, and even shared the fact that they lost their own... but it's all so worth it isn't it? - one time someone offered a ridiculous sum of money for us to sell Annie- and Greg and realized that she truly was priceless...

I'm sorry Peggy...I've lost my dog of 15 years few years back and nothing, nor words nor anyone could ease my pain...
They say, Time is the best Healer - it is.
After two months my Dad brought another dog home, and her love helped me a lot.

Your dog reminded me of my dear, lost friend.
Warm Hugs.
